Dr. Nafiseh Hashemi

Dr. Hashemi is a neuro-ophthalmologist and comprehensive eye surgeon serving patients in the Encino area. She provides the most advanced care for extensive neurologic and ophthalmic conditions including optic neuropathies, optic neuritis, multiple sclerosis, intracranial tumors, optic nerve tumors, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, myasthenia graves, thyroid eye disease, brain and optic nerve stroke causing vision loss, and unexplained vision loss.

As an accomplished surgeon and researcher, Dr. Hashemi works with patients to determine the best course of care for optimal outcomes, even in the most complex cases. In treatment of neuro-ophthalmology patients, Dr. Hashemi takes the team approach and works closely with primary care physician, neurologist and neurosurgeons. The patient is always the center of the team, receives the information and makes decision about her/his own care.
