About the Practice
About Hashemi Eye Care
A specialized eye care practice built around careful diagnosis, complex cases, research, and education.
Practice
A different kind of eye care practice
Founded in 2018, Hashemi Eye Care was created as a specialized ophthalmology practice for patients who need more than a routine eye exam. Our office combines advanced clinical care, careful diagnostic evaluation, research, and education in a calm, patient-centered setting.
Many of the patients we see come to us with complex symptoms, unclear diagnoses, or concerns that require a closer look. Our goal is to give each patient the time, attention, and clinical judgment needed to understand the problem clearly and determine the next best step.
Complex Care
Care for complex and unresolved cases
Hashemi Eye Care is frequently consulted for complex, unusual, and unresolved eye and neuro-ophthalmic concerns.
Detailed history-taking and careful review of prior testing
Attention to subtle findings that may need specialized evaluation
Coordinated plans that can involve referring physicians and specialists
These cases often require patience, detailed history-taking, careful review of prior testing, and close attention to subtle clinical findings. For patients who have already undergone prior evaluations without clear answers, our role is to bring fresh attention, specialized expertise, and a thoughtful plan forward.
Leadership
Led by Dr. Nafiseh Hashemi
The practice is led by Dr. Nafiseh Hashemi, a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in neuro-ophthalmology. Her background in clinical care, surgery, research, and teaching shapes the way the practice approaches patients: with careful listening, diagnostic discipline, and collaboration with other physicians.

Research
Research is part of the practice culture
Research and academic contribution are part of the culture at Hashemi Eye Care. Dr. Hashemi and members of the team have contributed to peer-reviewed publications, case reports, poster presentations, and conference research.
This academic mindset benefits the way we evaluate patients. Complex cases require more than routine pattern recognition. They require curiosity, discipline, and the willingness to keep asking better questions.
Alumni
A launchpad for future physicians
Many Hashemi Eye Care alumni have gone on to medical school, residency, and physician careers at respected institutions across the country. We are proud that the practice has become a place where motivated students and future doctors can develop clinical judgment, research experience, and a deeper respect for patient care.
Team Culture
A close clinical team
Our team works closely together because complex care requires coordination. From front desk communication to diagnostic testing, imaging coordination, patient education, and follow-up, each part of the visit matters.
We aim to create an environment where patients feel heard, where details are not rushed, and where clinical decisions are explained clearly.
