Regular eye exams

Regular eye exams are the foundation of maintaining healthy vision. We recommend scheduling a comprehensive eye exam every one to three years, depending on your age, overall health, and risk factors for eye diseases. For children, routine exams are crucial for ensuring proper vision development and academic success.

Many eye diseases, such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, develop slowly without noticeable symptoms. Early detection through regular screenings can prevent significant vision loss and provide more treatment options. Dry Eye & Eyelid Health

A dry-eye evaluation before a treatment choice

Burning, gritty, watery, or fluctuating vision can have more than one cause. A comprehensive evaluation looks at the eye surface, eyelid margins, tear film, and meibomian glands before matching treatment to the findings.

Care may begin with warm compresses and lid hygiene, include prescription drops such as Restasis, Cequa, or Xiidra, or use an in-office treatment when blocked meibomian glands are part of the problem. These options address different parts of dry-eye care; an examination determines which layer is appropriate.
