Recovery Basics
Follow your cataract care plan
Your cataract surgery instructions take priority. Use these items as a practical reminder of the common recovery themes our team may review with you.
- Use all post-operative cataract drops exactly as directed.
- Wear any shield, patch, or protective glasses if your surgical team provides them.
- Do not rub, press on, or touch the operated eye unless instructed.
- Avoid swimming, heavy lifting, eye makeup, and strenuous activity until you are cleared.
- Keep every follow-up visit so your surgeon can confirm the eye is healing correctly.
